I had the priviledge of attending the 2018 Dallas CPA Society Convergence CPE conference at the Omni Frisco Hotel at the Star. The guest speaker was Jerry Jones, owner and manager of the Dallas Cowboys. During his address, Jerry talked about how he makes decisions. He told stories of the early days when he was considering buying the Dallas Cowboys. It was interesting to hear him talk about the fact that one must weigh the risks and the expectation for rewards. It's all about managing ambiguity, he said. There are always competing interests and there are no certainties in life. Jerry has learned to navigate a world of unknowns. Certainly, he is one we can look to and see that many of the risks he has taken in business and life have paid off. Thanks Jerry for your insight and for sharing such good advice.
